My history racing

I started racing karts at the age of 11 years old in 1979. My father and I shared the karting experience together. The momories we made together will stay with me forever. I raced 2 cycle Jr until I moved to the Sr 2 Cycle Unlimited class at 15 years old. From there I moved to "Laydown" Enduro karts, 125cc Shifters and even a 250cc Super Kart. When I lost my father in 1996, something was missing for me. In 1997 I purchased an older Formula 440 and got my SCCA National License. That lead me to fulfilling my life long dream, designing and building my own formula car. The car was the Rocketech R-2 F5 formula car. In 2005 I had reached the pinnacle of my carreer and won the SCCA F5 National Championship Runoffs. There was the Speed Channel TV coverage and everything. It was really rewarding to be able to put "my car" in the record books and fulfill that dream. Now in 2002 I had gotten my son Christian into karting. I raced a Sr Animal kart at Thompson myself. I knew a few things...The racecar would never be worth more than it was as the "National Championship" winning car, and racing a kart at Thompson was as fulfilling as any racing out there. So I sold the car and put ALL of my focus into karting again. In 2002 I became the President of Championship Kart Racing Association at Thompson Kart Raceway. You can find us there at just about every kart race with the Rocketech Motorsports Trackside Parts Trailer.
